How to Empathize With People You Don't Like

I talk about empathy ad nauseam; it’s a critical element of the design thinking process and, I believe, the critical ingredient to many of the ills we are constantly working to fix, from the broken educational system to the low-functioning team on the 3rd floor. We assume, however, that we alway want to empathize. In this blog post, I offer some potential reasons for why we don’t like people we work with, and some actionable tips for how to deal with it (hint: be more empathetic).

Shout-out to The Design Gym, collaborators and thought-sharers and friends, for publishing this blog.
